Research context

El epitalón (Epithalon/AEDG) es un tetrapéptido sintético (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) derivado del bioregulador pineal epitalamina, estudiado en investigación de senescencia y ritmos circadianos.

Mecanismo de acción (Contexto de investigación):

Actividad telomerasa: se investiga como inductor de la hTERT, con reactivación de la telomerasa y elongación de telómeros en modelos celulares.
Regulación circadiana: modula la síntesis de melatonina y normaliza los ritmos circadianos en modelos animales.
Efectos antioxidantes/inmunes: se describen cambios en marcadores antioxidantes y de función inmune.

Patrones de protocolo de investigación:

Material liofilizado reconstituido con agua bacteriostática, empleado por vía parenteral en modelos; conservar en frío y protegido de la luz.
